The Law Is Above No One.
Trump indictment is just the latest example that the Left doesn't respect the rule of law.
The American Left, which currently runs the Democrat Party, probably has never respected the rule of law. There is no doubt they currently do not. Any notion that the rule of law restricted their political actions was dispensed with when former President Donald Trump was indicted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg over long expired Federal election charges under the guise of fabricated State law crimes. Bragg’s novel legal theory does not pass objective legal analysis. Plainly if one determined to be the first person to indict a former President, it would not be on such a weak basis unless this person were acting in a politically partisan manner.
The indictment and the Left’s reaction to it is just the latest reminder that they believe that the Elite that control the government can do whatever they wish. Many commentators are taking the low hanging fruit and suggesting that this is “highly partisan” or a “witch-hunt.” Others are commenting on how it is “unprecedented.” While true, this type of analysis misses the mark, and by a tremendous margin. The disconnect has devastating consequences.
Alvin Bragg’s fraudulent indictment is not just the latest evidence that those who control political power in this Country no longer respect the rule of law or abide by the Constitution, it is proof positive that they are no longer bothering to pretend they do. The American Left has become Darth Vader in the Empire Strikes Back, “I am altering the deal. Pray I don’t alter it any further:”
Unlike Lando Calrissian, who did not protest Vader’s breaching their agreement because he immediately understood that he was powerless to do anything, whatever you want to label the resistance to the Left in America these days, the Republicans, or “conservatives,” or whatever, have no clue how powerless they are. This lack of awareness is fatal to any potential movement to restore the Constitutional Republic we used to be. After all, if you do not appreciate how badly you are being beaten or have been outmaneuvered, you cannot possible mount a successful counter attack.
This scene plays out almost daily in American politics. For example, recently, in response to the announcement of the latest Trump show trial, Nancy Pelosi claimed that this was proper under our legal system because Trump would be permitted an opportunity to “prove his innocence:”
The wails from the right can still be heard all these days later—“in America, you are presumed innocent!” Nancy knows that. Her tweet was not by accident.
She, like Vader, is telling you that she and her Leftist clan have “altered the deal . . . Pray they don’t alter it any further.” That, by far, is the bigger problem—that people still think Nancy does not understand the Constitution or made a mistake. She is not mistaken, they are. Unfortunately for them, by the time they realize how right she is, it may be too late to save whatever is left of our rights.
The Trump indictment is not just one more step towards a totalitarian state, it is proof that we largely already are one. Cognitive dissonance or pride or some other emotion driven mechanism may have many denying it, but the facts demonstrate that it is true almost daily.
Take for example January 6 Defendants. Story after story after story has emerged about them being denied basic human rights in prison, not being provided exculpatory evidence, and being denied bail, yet nothing has been done. Indeed, Jacob Chansley, the “QAnon Shaman,” who received one of the longest sentences handed down to a U.S. Capitol rally attendant, recently was released from prison after Tucker aired previously suppressed January 6 video of him being escorted around by Capitol Police. Many on the right cheered his release but failed to appreciate that all the others wrongfully imprisoned in part because Nancy refused to release public footage of that day remain rotting behind bars or that the presiding judges of the other Defendants have not sue sponte reviewed the other convictions or chastised the Federal government for its unconstitutional conduct. Yet another example of where America at large shrugs off plainly illegal conduct when it is perpetrated by those on the Left.
“No one is above the law” is a common Leftist rallying cry these days. This phrase, just as with just about every one they utter, does not mean what they think it does.
The law is above no one. Or, no one is below the law. This is what the rule of law and the Constitution provide. That is, the state cannot proclaim someone a criminal or put them in jeopardy of losing his or her freedom because he or she is unpopular, a political opponent, or the like.
This is not what the Left believes. “No one is above the law” to them means if they accuse you of being a criminal, you are. If they decide to prosecute you, you will be. Thus, “no one is above the law” means we can prosecute anyone we want, anytime we want; be thankful we still provide you an opportunity to “prove your innocence.” Until, of course, they determine “alter the deal.”
The notion that those like Bragg are limited by such things rule of law are laughable to them. This is why the prosecutors in the January 6 cases feel righteous in withholding January 6 video or making ridiculous charges of “seditious conspiracy” for the first time a year after the charges started rolling out, and plainly in response to commentators pointing out that while the Media claimed January 6 was an “insurrection,” no one had been charged with that crime. It is also why the January 6 Committee felt perfectly comfortable conducting itself without any representation from the opposition party. I could go on and on and on with examples.
This Country currently is run by government officials who do not believe in boundaries. The Media is just fine with that. Worse yet, the public at large also is just fine with that.
Until that changes, you are going to see more examples of fraudulent indictments and prosecutions, not less. When this is understood, the most recent Trump indictment is not “unprecedented,” it is just the latest example of the current state of affairs in this Country.
It is a fact that the left has NEVER held to the ‘rule of law’.
They are the Party that voted against freeing the slaves.
They are the party that voted against giving the freed slaves (and women) the right to vote.
They are the party that, when they lost in the above mentioned votes, started (and funded) the KKK, wrote Jim Crow Laws, went on to murder many people.
The DNC then re-enslaved the black population with welfare programs, deleting fathers from the equation.
Many RATS ran as Republicans, ruling as RATS.
They are evil to the core.
