Russell Brand And Dilbert Creator Reveal How The Elite Media's Continued Corruption Cripples The United States.
We will not continue to thrive as a free nation if we do not have a free press.
The United States’ Elite Media is hopelessly corrupt and, therefore, useless. If it were only useless, that would be problem enough, but the fact that its corruption also makes it a vehicle for malfeasant actors to spread crippling false narratives is killing American exceptionalism.
In case you have not heard, comedian and actor Russell Brand recently went on Bill Maher’s program and destroyed MSNBC professional politico John Heileman. It sounded like this:
Many lauded Brand’s swift and complete takedown of Heileman’s claim that Fox was a propaganda outfit, but MSNBC was a news organization. To my mind, these interpretations missed the bigger takeaway. This exchange revealed that American Elite Media is so divorced from the truth that an actor and comedian who only recently discovered American politics could rebut a supposed professional political expert, impromptu and in seconds. Just as importantly, once rebutted, the lone response from the supposed expert was “not responsive . . . not responsive.” Translation? If you fail to accept my narrative or demonstrate its falsehood, you’re canceled!!!
This brings us to Dilbert creator Scott Adams, who recently was cancelled by the Elites. Before turning to that story, consider that those on the Left now are so entrenched in their fraudulent “news” industry, they felt comfortable defending Heileman’s obviously failed performance. Among the reasons this is important is how they defended it—by engaging in the same behavior that caused it in the first place. That is, lying by by commission or omission. So, for example, social media influencer James Surowiecki claimed that Brand, not Heileman, was at fault for “equating ivermectin as useless against COVID . . . with Fox News knowingly platforming election denialists so they could spread lies:”
If you watched the exchange, what Brand criticized was not MSNBC’s opinion regarding ivermectin’s efficacy regarding COVID, but its claims that Joe Rogan took “horse medication,” when it knew that ivermectin has both equine and human applications.
Suroweicki here is engaging in a typical Elite Media trick of assuming his audience will not actually check his claims or bother to listen to a few minutes of video. Indeed, he is engaging in so many fallacies that it is beyond the scope of this article. One more important one here, however, is his “poisoning the well;” providing adverse information about a target, in this instance Fox, to preemptively discredit or ridicule it to the point that something that the target claims or might say will be rejected without examination. In fact, Leftist must engage in argumentative fallacies because none of their claims hold up to the slightest examination.
Suroweicki’s claims about Fox News are a prime example. His statement only survives if the reader does not ask him or herself a myriad of obvious questions. If a program interviews someone that, in fact, is making allegations about potential election improprieties, are they “platforming election denialists?” If you ask question or make allegations about an election, are you an “election denier?” One cannot both be a denier of an event and at the same time advance issues with respect to its occurrence—your claims about it are not denying it, but accepting its existence. Does a “news” organization have an obligation to interview only people with whom it agrees? I could go on, but the point is that only by “poisoning the well” so that the audience does not examine its claims, and those of its opponents, can the corrupt Elite Media thrive.
It may thrive, but its audience cannot. No country can succeed, much less maintain the level of success that the United State has enjoyed, if its citizens are not informed regarding the facts of daily occurrences, history, etc. But that is where we are and will remain until whatever system that permits the dominant media in America to spew outright falsehoods and hoaxes on a daily basis remains the most prevalent.
Which brings us back to Dilbert. In a recent podcast, Scott Adams analyzed a recent Rasmussen poll that found that 47% of Black Americans believe “it is NOT ok to be white.” On his podcast, Adams said essentially that if the poll were true, that these Black Americans were a hate group and white citizens should get away from them. You can watch the podcast here:
Regardless of your opinion of Adams’ comments and opinions, his immediate cancelling by the Elite Media is the complete opposite of everything that to date has made America the freest and most prosperous country in history. Again, demonstrating all the ways that this situation proves this would be nearly impossible, but among the most important of them is the fact that the MainStreamMedia did not cancel Adams for what he said, but de-platformed Dilbert after it unilaterally labeled him as “racist.” This is not a free Press informing the citizens of a country, but an Elite cabal of powerful citizens directing what its readers are permitted to believe and hear.
Examples abound, but most publications claimed that Adams had been canceled for his “racist rant” or “racist tirade.” As per usual, not one supposed “news” organization bothered to explain what Adams actually said or the context in which he said it. Rather, all the reader need know is that (i) Adams said something “racist,” and (ii) you need not question their conclusion about it; and (iii) you need not even know what Adams said. It has been ten days since the Dilbert creator’s controversial live stream, and all America knows from the Elite Media is that he’s been properly cancelled for saying something “racist.” This is not informing citizens, it is directing them what to think.
History has consistently proven that you cannot survive long as an elite country if your decisions are made by an oligarchy of elites. Unfortunately for the United States, the recent Russell Brand viral video and Scott Adams’ cancellation prove that this is precisely what is occurring here through the Elite Media.
We would be doomed to failure with this type of decision making process even if this group of decision makers were rational, which they plainly are not. That will have to wait for a future article. In the meantime, hope that something alters the flawed process in which “news” is delivered in our Country.
